Nail Art Storage

Welcome to the Alex Does Her Nails salon - AKA my new spare bedroom. When we moved into our new apartment I saw great potential in the blank wall in the second room - finally a way to better display/store my nail polish! And a dedicated place to paint them. I'm in heaven!

Inspired by Pinterest - I went to IKEA with the BF to pick up several RIBBA shelves. They're actually supposed to be picture ledges, but trust me - they work just fine as nail polish shelves. The little lip on the shelf means you don't have to worry about your carefully placed polishes falling off the shelf.

Several hours (and trips to the hardware store) later, these babies were fastened to the concrete walls of my apartment and I couldn't be happier. I of course colour coordinated - who doesn't love a rainbow wall of colour?

Also new to the space is a desk & chair - a perfect corner to paint my nails, with the natural light from the window streaming in. The window faces south and on a clear day I can see Lake Ontario - bliss! The desk is actually the MALM dressing table. The glass top makes cleanup a breeze and the one slide out drawer is perfect for holding all my nail art tools and treasures.

With a brand new set-up, here's to many more designs and fun to come on Alex Does Her Nails in 2017!
